Producing a magazine involves significant costs, including editing, design, printing, shipping to our headquarters, and finally, shipping the finished copies to you. All these steps require time, effort, and resources.
This is comparable to when someone asks a tattoo artist to design a tattoo for free, hoping to pay only if they decide to go through with it—or trying to book an appointment without a deposit. Like tattoo artists, our time, effort, and production costs need to be covered upfront. Or even worse, someone asking for a free tattoo.
Yes, we offer interviews for free because we love showcasing artists and creators, but the printed copies themselves aren’t free to produce. For this reason, we prioritize fulfilling orders first, and we fill the remaining space in the magazine with interviews we select. Keep in mind that we receive thousands of interview submissions and can’t feature everyone due to space limitations.
