Careers: Assistant Editor

Thank you for your interest in applying for our Assistant Editor position.  

This is a 40 hour a week that can be worked from home.

The pay is $2,000 per month paid on the 1st of the month.

BEFORE GOING FORWARD UNDERSTAND THE PAY RATE.

Below the rough estimates for the average person spends working each month. 

You would have to earn $2,500 - $3,000 each month to bring home $2,000 at another company.

1. Gas/Travel:

  • Commuting Costs: On average, American workers spend about $150 to $200 per month on gas. This can vary significantly based on distance and fuel prices.
  • Public Transportation: Monthly public transportation passes typically range from $50 to $120, depending on the city.

2. Clothing:

  • Work Attire: The average monthly expenditure on clothing is approximately $100 to $150. This includes business attire, casual wear, and occasional purchases.

3. Food:

  • Lunch: Many workers spend between $8 to $15 per lunch. Assuming 20 working days, this totals $160 to $300 per month.
  • Coffee/Snacks: Additional spending on coffee and snacks can add another $50 to $100 per month.

Total Average Monthly Spending:

  • Gas/Travel: $150 - $200
  • Public Transportation: $50 - $120 (if applicable)
  • Clothing: $100 - $150
  • Food: $210 - $400

Approximate Total:

  • Driving: $460 - $750
  • Public Transportation: $400 - $670

POSITION BREAKDOWN: As a magazine contributor your job is to provide 150 magazine articles a month. You will be emailing & calling tattoo shops daily. 

NO SALES REQUIRED

You will be provided with a list of 5,000+ tattoo shops to review for quality & then contact.

You will go down this list by emailing & then contacting them by phone to secure interviews.

Some of the locations have multiple artist.

We can collect multiple interviews from these locations. 

Daily Tasks:

  1. Call tattoo shops every day + keep up with your email inbox
  2. Complete all needed follow up calls to secure any missing content.
  3. Enter the interviews in your spreadsheet to keep up with them as they come in.

All interviews come through a link so you will not have to gather them from the artist yourself.

Equipment Requirements:

  • Cell phone. 
  • Computer laptop or desktop (no Chromebooks).
  • Wired headset w/ microphone for when making calls from your computer.
  • High speed internet w/ ethernet connection. Minimum 60mbps.

Work programs: Click each program below view them individually.

  1. Microsoft Outlook: Your work email will be an Microsoft Outlook email. This will need to be logged in on your work computer and personal cell phone. 
  2. RingCentral: You will be assigned a work phone line. All phone calls & text messages will be tracked weekly to ensure that your calls are efficient & that your texts are appropriate.
  3. Clockify: This program is used to track your time daily. It will also take a randomized screenshot of your computer screen every 5 minutes for management to check your completed work VS your time submitted.
  4. Trello: This program is where all company notes are kept.

Skill requirements

  2. Patience: artists may be frustrated or confused, and it's crucial to remain patient throughout the interaction. Taking the time to listen and address their needs calmly can go a long way in providing effective service.
  3. Active listening: Listening attentively to artists allows you to grasp their requirements accurately. It involves giving them your full attention, avoiding interruptions, and asking relevant questions to understand their concerns better.
  4. Clear communication: Effective communication is essential to provide clear instructions, answer questions, and offer solutions. Using simple language, active and responsive dialogue, and avoiding jargon can enhance the artist's understanding and satisfaction.
  5. Product knowledge: A good representative should have in-depth knowledge of the company's products or services. This enables them to provide accurate information, offer helpful recommendations, and address any inquiries or issues artists may have.
  6. Problem-solving skills: Artists often seek assistance when facing challenges or encountering problems. Possessing strong problem-solving skills allows you to identify the root cause, explore viable solutions, and take prompt action to resolve issues effectively.
  7. Adaptability: Artists come from diverse backgrounds and have unique needs. Being adaptable allows you to adjust your approach and communication style to suit different situations and personalities, ensuring a personalized and positive experience.
  8. Positive attitude: Maintaining a positive attitude helps create a welcoming and friendly environment for s. Even in challenging situations, displaying optimism, resilience, and a willingness to help can leave a lasting positive impression.
